We've moved.....AGAIN!

Yes, It probably seems like we've moved a lot lately.  After our short sale, we rented for 2 years in the same ward/ area, but with our kids at a charter school 25 miles round trip away, we decided to move closer to the school.  But moving there was temporary too, because we only had another 18 months or so until we'd be able to buy again. (3 year wait after a short sale)

We didn't love our last ward (only some people in it) so we were ready to move when it came time.  Plus we had been dying to finally be back in our own home, getting to upgrade or change things as we wish!
On September 13th, our loan closed and we GOT THE KEYS!!
The trees kind of block the house, but the shade is fabulous!

I met a carpet shampooer at the house that afternoon & why not just take 10 or so boxes of food over to put in my pantry while I wait!? :)  Very excited for a large walk in pantry!!

After the kids were out of school, we drove over another load of kitchen stuff to put in and let them run through the house. They'd only seen it one other time.  Then when Jonathan got off (he's only seen the house ONCE for 15 minutes when we put in the offer!) we each loaded our vehicles and dropped off another load of the random stuff that can't be boxed.  My parents ended up coming down to help so it was nice to have a few extra hands.

Saturday morning was the big move in day!  We picked up the uhaul and started loading around 8am.  Jonathan had about 5 buddies there to help and we had most everything in the 26 foot uhaul by shortly after 10am.  Loaded the rest of the random stuff in 2 pickups and a trailer and they headed for the new house.

Our realtor, Taylor Prince (awesome friend from Panaca) is a bishop of another ward in our new stake. He called the EQ's pres & Bishop of our ward to have them come help us.  Even tho we declined they said they'd have "a few" guys come help. :)    Now keep in mind, I left the house about the same time as the trucks & trailer.  I ran to Smiths to buy cold drinks for everyone & then into Subway to pick up my preordered sandwiches.  On my way to the new house my dad texted to see where I was at?? I was on my way, it hadn't been that long...  Right before I got there, he informed me everything was unloaded.  I knew not everything could be unloaded?!

I pulled up (less than an hour after they left the old house) and sure enough, one 26 foot giant Uhaul, 2 pickups and a trailer were ALL UNLOADED!! and out front of our house stood over 25 people (including 3-4 sets of missionaries) from the new ward!! Boy, were Jon's 5 friends thrilled with the help.

Obviously I missed the mayhem, but apparently there was a line from the truck to the front door and they just passed it along saying, Upstairs....Myas room, Loft, Living room, kitchen, etc.....  LOL
Jonathan was a bit frustrated I wasn't there to help direct, but I went to grab lunch for everyone and had no idea it would go so quick!    There were a few mix ups with different box springs in wrong rooms or mattress sets mismatched and furniture literally everywhere downstairs, but HEY it was free help and it was all INSIDE with AC! :) * These two were pooped!! (about 1pm moving day)

With everything unloaded BEFORE noon, I took full advantage and started unpacking like crazy. By 5pm Jonathan and I had HALF the house unpacked!  Boy did that feel good.  I gave up around 9pm and he went till 11pm.  I must say we could hardly move Sunday morning. But with all that new ward love, we had to at least go to Sacrament!  LOL
By Monday, we were pretty much done unpacking. Jonathan even got most things hung on the walls downstairs this past Saturday AND we even got the trampoline put together!!  I started it Thursday, tried to finish it Friday all by myself, but made one small but critical mistake. LOL I waited till Saturday for Jonathan to help me fix it.  Mainly because I HATE to undo anything that took hours to do!  But I was still proud that I practically built it all by myself and the instructions say needs TWO adults :)  I ROCK!!
