Fashion Show at Beauty School!

My school held a fashion show on May 24th.  It was based on famous works of art; paintings from Van Gogh, Picasso, etc.    A few weeks prior we were able to choose our groups (could be estheticians, cosmetologist, or nail techs) that we would be working in.  We would be judged on Hair, makeup, nails and outfit. We each drew a number & that number determined which painting we had to base our model off of.  Our group drew Starry Night by Van Gogh.  Two of my very good esthetician friends Danielle, Raelene & I wanted to be together but we added a cosmo, Leslee to help with hair.   On May 8th a new nail tech started school and needed a group & so we added Jasmine to help with the nails.   It was a lot of fun planning our designing our inspiration for our model, Danielle.
Raelene is already a practicing makeup artist and very good, so she did the makeup, Leslee did the hair, Jasmine the nails, Danielle's job was to look pretty ;), and I had to put together our poster of inspiration ideas to display, make the invite and be the assistant to help out the night of.
Carlaya also had a job to do!  She is always making the most glamour gowns out of pieces of fabric or even blankets.  Some of my friends have seen her work, and they all voted she should make our dress for the fashion show.  So I bought a couple yards of black fabric and Carlaya came a few minutes early the night of to put it all on Danielle.  She seriously can make a gown in 10 minutes or less! She did practice in advance on me, but made this dress the night of!!   She is amazing and I need to get her learning to sew soon!  She will be a famous designer one day, I'm sure of it!
Here are the 7 models from all the night students. (4 are freshman estheticians from my class) The day student had their own fashion show earlier that day.
All these models here are in my class except the one in purple.
Despite having a fever of 101 and having strep throat :( Jonathan brought Carlaya anyway.  She was our only hope for a dress and she really really wanted to be there.   You can tell by this picture though that she was NOT feeling good.
