School ROCKS

School is awesome! I am loving every bit of it, well except for the lights. ;) They are the normal overhead fluorescent lights which apparently I am not used to. I get a headache almost every single night I am at school. Twice it's turned into a migraine. Once it was so bad while I was still there I had to leave early because any longer I would have been unable to drive. The other time, I made it home but about died when I got here. I am not loving the headaches, but I'm hoping to get used to the lights and be done with headaches. For now, just loving modern day meds to help ease the pain.

So far we've learned the 45 min hand & arm treatment (with paraffin wax), the 45 min back treatment or back facial, and almost the whole hour long facial. I am most excited about that. But I like doing all 3. The hardest part is after learning one treatment, we move right on to the next and start practicing that. I have only done each a few times. That's why I love going on Saturday's to practice, but you need friends or family to come in to practice on. We can only give each other facials so much!! So if anyone is ever interested in coming in for me to practice on, please don't hesitate to call, text, FB me or whatever! I need practice and chances are...you need pampering! Am I right, or am I right?! :)

Tuesdays & Thursdays we have "theory" or book work. We go over the chapter for that week, have a review or test, OR practice the last treatment we learned. On Wednesday's we learn a new treatment or expand on one learned. We practice on each other and luckily there is usually 6-8 of us so we pair up and one gets the treatment by the other and then we switch. I feel like everyday I come home from school with a glossy, glowing face and no makeup. Which I am getting used to. I don't go anywhere without makeup on, but the better my skin gets, the more comfortable I'll be. I do love laying on a massage table in a gown (under sheets) relaxing for a good hour while someone "practices" something wonderful on me!! I mean, really...this is school?!! I love it!!
Saturdays are a total easy day. It is a free for all, do what we want (as long as it's productive). Like bring in friends or family to practice on, practice on other students, study for tests or do homework. Its an 8 hour day but an easy day. Jonathan came in once and I gave him a hand/arm treatment. I wish he could come ever Saturday so I could practice on him, because it's easy & fun, but we have the kids to worry about. So I need friends to come in!! ;) The Saturday before last I got so bored with no one to practice on, I decided (with instructors permission) to go get my hair colored by a cosmo student. So yes, still getting credit for class I got my hair dyed for $10!! That's a student discount I get even cheaper than normal customers at the school. We basically pay for product only. Hair cuts are FREE! I came home from school, having had a back facial and my hair colored! What a productive Saturday! LOVING IT!!
