The kids finally ride their bikes with NO training wheels.
Carlaya got her 1st bike at 3 years old and was almost 5 before she actually rode it well without having trouble and liked riding it. The coordination part was just hard for her. LOL By that age, she was needing a bigger bike and Noah was begging for one. We bought them both bikes for Easter last year and Noah was a natural! He jumped on that bike and took off, he rode inside (we had all tile downstairs) and out constantly. I knew it wouldn't be long before we could strip his training wheels. Jonathan took Carlaya's off sometime last summer and she could sort of ride with out help, but still struggled. She eventually quit trying and didn't ride much. In June, I told Jonathan we really did need to just take Noah's training wheels off! He was so beyond ready. Jonathan stood beside him and was going to help him try to balance, HA! Like he needed help! That kid was a natural....... By the end of the day he would jump on his bike on his own, ride down the street, turn around, come back AND stop on his own. He's so funny to watch ride. That kid is fearless! He's ridden his bike almost every day since. For a few weeks he rode it hours everyday! Carlaya hated to be "shown up" by her little brother, so she started riding again and with daddy's help- also rides just fine withOUT training wheels.
Carlaya LOVES this white board easel she got from her Grandma Peterson 2 years ago for Christmas. She still draws on it on a daily basis. It's fun to see her drawings, because kids don't always tell you what they are thinking about or what mood their in. But from her drawings, I can usually tell. ;) She can't wait for school and is very anxious for her 1st day of 1st grade!

Apparently, in 1st grade, the sun is shinning bright, birds in the air and kids are just running on the playground! ;) What a Happy interpretation of 1st grade.

We can't go to the pool everyday, so each summer I like to have a little kiddie pool outback to keep them entertained. My niece Bailey came to stay for a week this summer and the kids LIVED in the pool!
But since they all know how to swim now, they spent most of their time swimming in circles underwater! It was so funny to watch their little bodies swirl around.

Oh I wish Tanner was like Noah. He is so worried about falling that as soon as Andrew lets go he will just put his feet down. andrew wanted to work with him a lot this summer but maybe only did 5 or 6 days for about 15 minutes. Tanner is kind of a chicken. :)
That does look like the kids are having some issues in the water. :) Fun times with cousins!
