Finally Finished!!

900 hours & 16+ months later, I finally completed my Esthetician Schooling!!  Yahoooooo!

It did take WAY longer than expected, mainly because of Jonathan's fire academy & well because we took home a new baby in December.  But I still loved just about every bit of it.  G Skin & Beauty Institute is a full cosmetology school so I had Esti friends, Cosmo friends & nail friends.  It was 16 months of Girly Fun!! :) 

This is Mr. Paul.  The first day of school, I was actually a little disappointed I had a man teacher. I imagined this beautiful, trendy woman with perfect skin as my teacher.  LOL He quickly became my favorite teacher!  He has a personality similar to mine so we constantly gave each other a hard time & were overly sarcastic with each other.  He'll tell you I annoy the death out of him and he couldn't be more glad to get me the HECK out of there! But he'd be lying- he LOVES me!! :)  And I completely just love him.  He made school so very very fun. And he even got teary eyed after this picture as I went to leave school for the VERY LAST TIME.  He hates touching people or people touching him- very germaphobic.  So I told him ALL I wanted for graduation was a HUG. Not just let me hug him, he had to actually hug me back! LOL  He'll semi wrap an arm around each student (well his favorites) as they leave for the last time. BUT he refuses pictures.  So you can imagine their surprise when I posted my picture of Mr. Paul hugging me tight!! :)  I win, I always WIN.

 

 We wanted to do a gag cake that looked like it was from Mr. Paul. But they did have any cakes big enough to write what I wanted:   "Congrats Camille, you've always been my favorite! Love, Mr. Paul".  He would hate that & be embarrassed.  So funny!!  I just gave up but another student insisted it be on the cake. So on pellon (waxing strips) she wrote the message & taped to the Congratulations sign. :)  He got a kick out of it and played into it like he did it.....killing my fun!

A week before I left for last time, Mr. Paul pulled me aside & gave me this. He & Miss Saundra (the other senior Esti instructor & school manager) wanted to give it to me to show me how much they appreciate all I do, going 100% all of the time. Super thoughtful of them & I was flattered! They have both offered to write me amazing letters of recommendation, or be referrals for any jobs I apply for. 

If only I was going to work anytime soon!  LOL  Actually with Izaiah going home, I may do something part time when Mya starts preschool, hopefully this fall.
