Celebrating the Terrible Two!

 October 8, 2012- Mya is officially in the Terrible Two's!  :)   She has been "terrible" for some time now, but as always- CUTE AS A BUG and we have a hard time getting mad!  I wanted her whole birthday to be a fun day (despite having a horrible strep throat!) so I sucked it up and did my best!
We started the day by having donuts at Dunkin.

Next up, we went to UMC quick care.  LOL  Not birthday fun exactly, but I was desperate to be seen by a DR and couldn't wait for a real one.   We were out within an hour & 1/2 so it was too bad.  She played games on my kindle & waiting patiently with me.  Really, she was such a good girl here!  She kept asking me all day to take her pictures. Like she totally knew it was a special day & she loved it!

 

 We came home to clean up the house & while I made lunch she colored a birthday picture.

 I wanted her to nap while I decorated, made her cake, and wrapped her gifts. As usual lately (this baby is out growing her naps already!!!) she played & played, then knocked to have me let her out.  I ignored her pounding on the door because I was busying decorating and I knew she'd just want to open her gifts.   I needed her to stay in there "sleeping" for another 30 minutes till we left to get kids from school.  10 minutes before I went to get her, it went quiet. I figured she found something fun to play with......nope!  Finally fell asleep. :(  With toys, dishes, books, etc in her bed.  And a book on her head! LOL Silly girl!

  I hated to wake her up, but it was time to pick up kids from school and head to FLIP n OUT for her Birthday fun!

I thought she would be in hog heaven, because she is such a lil monkey & loves to climb & jump on everything.  But starting with the big blow up slide, she was having major anxiety!  She screamed as Carlaya tried to drag her to the top! LOL



 

She didn't scream coming down, but you can tell she didn't love it either!  Even though I felt like death, I climbed up and took her down the 2nd time and she did ok.  Slowly she began warming up to the fun.

The big trampolines were also a bit overwhelming to her, specially with all the older kids jumping around, but she loves to jump.  In no time, she was jumping & giggling like crazy!

 Back at home, we had pizza for dinner, open her gifts then had cake!

 Noah made a special card just for Mya and insisted HE read it to her...
"Happe Borthday Mya I hop you hav a God Bothday you aur nise (nice) thank you."    :)

 Mya got new Minnie Mouse PJ's, a new baby cabbage patch doll, a shopping cart/stroller, and 4 pairs of princess dress up shoes (from cousin Kensley!).

 I had a cute idea to make a cake, but not feeling well and being rushed, it quickly became plan B cake that barely survived. It was a disaster making & I threw one of the heart cakes away, so it became one tier instead of two. I shoved a Minnie toy on top and called it good! ;)  She loved it either way!

Mya was so cute, she helped us sing to her and at the end she went right in to blow out the candles without being prompted.  She hasn't seen this done much, so it was so funny!
