1st day of School!

August 27th was the 1st day of School for us.  There was a little bit of nerves but mostly just excitement for the kids!  Noah is starting 1st grade and will finally get to be at school all day and his favorite part- having school lunch!!  Carlaya started 3rd grade this year and surprisingly enough, she was barely nervous at all.  She is a lil' shy and hates meeting new teachers and new friends, but she was excited to go back to school and actually made a lot of friends last year, so she couldn't wait to see all of them!  It was a bit chaotic dropping off because the school went from 500 or so students last year to 1,100 this year!  To make matters worse, the construction of the new half of the school won't be complete until the end of this month or beginning of October!  So there are a lot of kids in temporary small class rooms and younger grades eating lunch in their classes since the new cafeteria for them isnt' done yet.  Overall, the 1st two weeks of school have still been great, we've got the carpool down and things are running smoothly.

Carlaya loves fashion and loves clothes, so uniforms aren't her favorite. We made the most of it with lots of cute leggings, skirts, flats & wedges :)

Noah also wanted a 2nd day of school picture so he could show off his backpack & lunch!
