Saturday Hike

Our 1st Saturday of Summer in June we decided to escape the heat (although it wasn't that hot yet) and head to Mt. Charleston to hike with the kids. It was an absolutely perfectly beautiful day. The kids were all being good sports and were set to go. The hike, Mary Jane Falls is close to 3 miles up & back. That's alot for any kid because it's fairly steep. Poor Jose, he has leg pain because of the chemo anyway, so he wasn't quite up for it. Jonathan and I, being out of shape, were totally fine just doing some! He was packing 20 lb Mya on his chest and took as many breaks as Jose. Bottom line, it was a beautiful day to meander along the trail sightseeing! We didn't even make it 1/2 way up the trail, the waterfall would have been fun for the kids but we didn't pack lunch and it would have taken hours. Maybe another day! ;)
