Carlaya's Birthday Party

On her actual birthday, we just had a little family dinner and let her open the presents from us. She was pretty excited to open up her gifts. Too bad she had to wait until after dinner that night. It was a long day of waiting!

This Junie B Jones book is called "1st grade Toothless wonder"- if you can see the book cover, the shaggy haired girl with missing teeth looks exactly like Carlaya- the 1st grade, toothless wonder! LOL She asked specifically for books this year. She's reading chapter books already and loves them.

Little miss trendy, really wanted a "vest" to go with some cute tops. She was pleased enough with this target clearance find. ;) She got some other cute tops and 3 new summer sandals and new chucks. (Compliments of dad)

Her very nice Primary Teacher stopped by just before dinner to bring her this cute little basket full of candy, gum, her OWN soap and nail polish! She was THRILLED!

Friday night was the BIG Party. Carlaya came up with the whole idea on her own. It was a "Pajama Pizza Party" where you bring your favorite stuffed animal or doll and they would all play Just Dance on the Wii. :)

2 girls couldn't make it, so Noah lucked out and got to sit at the girl table. Luckily they didn't mind. Our whole house was quite festive with abundance in pink & red.

After we ate, the girls turned on Just Dance and although some had never played, they caught on quick and had a blast!

These two cute girlies spent most the night spoiling Mya. They were thrilled that I let them hold her and pack her around. They pretty much wanted to hold her instead of playing. Luckily Carlaya didn't notice or didn't mind!

I handed out glow bracelets while they were dancing and turned off most the lights. Quickly the Wii idea ended and they were running through the house playing princess & dragon and who knows what. It was pitch black dark and you'd just see a glowing blur run past. Then, they'd stand in front of our giant mirror and dance and swirl their glow sticks. It was really funny to watch. My dark pictures were blurry and well this is what happened when I used the flash. (looks like the lights were on, but they weren't)

Cake time! The Birthday girl was pleased with her modge podge of a party. It seemed a bit unorganized, but they had a blast! Happy Birthday Carlaya!
