Balloon Rally/ Reunion

Every year in Panguitch, Utah they have a big Hot Air Balloon Rally in June. We've gone a few times now and it's always fun. At the butt-crack of dawn on Saturday everyone races over to see them set sail. No not me, no not my kids. Sleep is always a #1 priority with us. Nothing is THAT cool at 6 am! Lucky for me, sleeping in my sister's camp trailer in grandma Roe's driveway......a lovely balloon hovered right over head and the loud fire woke me up. So I was able to take a peek out the window, snap a shot, wake my kids to show them- before us all going right back to sleep. :)
Aaaaah, so pretty! zzzzzzzzzz......
That afternoon we had a Roe Reunion BBQ with some of my mom's cousins and her aunts and uncle. It was fun, but really I knew no one except my OWN cousins and luckily most of them were there! Here's silly Noah

Carlaya with my favorite cousin, STEVEN's daughter, Samantha.

That night, Panguitch Main Street is shut down and all the balloons set up in the center of the road clear through town. As they light the fire over and over the balloon fills with hot air and slowly rises. It's fun to watch them go up. They are huge when right on the ground. Also the fire is LOUD and really hot!

We walked the streets for a while, but with a slight breeze the balloons had to be taken down way early.
I let Carlaya buy a cute head band off a street vendor, and take her picture with the famous Panguitch Indian that has been there since I was a kid and was fascinated with it!
