1st night...

So far so good! She's a newborn, what can I say? They sleep non-stop. She must have been super tired yesterday because from 8:30 am till almost 6pm she only ate 2 oz of milk. I picked her up at 11am and her feeding time was 11:30, but she only ate 1/2 oz. About an hour later I forced her to eat another 1/2 oz. LOL Finally, that evening she ate 1 more oz. I didn't know if she was just a light eater or not, but most new babies eat about 2 oz. each feeding.

Luckily before I laid her down for the night I got her to eat another oz & 1/2. Even though she slept all day, she slept pretty good through the night. No fussing at all. But like clockwork, wanted to eat every 3 hours. 12:15 am, 3:15 am (on the dot!), and 6:10 am, jumping the gun by 5 minutes! :) and then again at 9:15 am when I was ready to get up! So not too bad.

We had our first visit this morning and I met her mom & dad. I don't believe they're married, but both in the picture. They were a little awkward with the situation but all birth parents are. They are nice though and totally decent. Both really good looking too! Surprise! Mom is Hispanic (ish) like told before, but dad is actually african american- carmel skinned and very good looking ;). We'll see how the next few visits go and hopefully within the month have an idea of what the case plan looks like and what the chances are for them to get her back.
