Baby Gentry is still in the NICU. :( Last night she had a mild fever which concerned the nurses and so they did a blood test. This afternoon it showed some_____? levels were elevated and therefore indicating an infection of some sort. Not a bad one, but enough that they wanted to give her another IV and start her on antibiotics. She'll need those for 2-3 days. So Friday is our new hopefully date.
Gentry's only other issue is spitting up. She spits up enough to concern them and even throws up sometimes randomly. Today it was yellowish with a green tinge. Indicating that perhaps her bowels are backed up and she is not digesting properly. So they changed her formula for the 3rd time and hope that helps. On Thursday or Friday when the antibiotics are done, IF the spitting up is clearing up enough....we can THEN take her home. So we're really hoping for this weekend (now that we're all excited) but it could be Sunday or Monday. They won't really say..Who knows!
