Foster/ Adoption Update

We haven't received another foster call yet, so we are still waiting to have our 3rd child placement.

As far as Adoption goes, I am finding that it is harder to adopt than we thought. They are very picky with whom they'll place a child, and rightfully so. Multiply people can "inquire" on a child and then they take the most eligible families and choose the BEST ONE from there.

I think the main problem we are going to run into, is that we have 2 young children already. Most KIDS available for adoption have problems or at least some minor issues. They want a family that can give the MOST attention to these kids. Although I feel like we can easily adapt to ONE more, 2 might be a struggle for the 1st few years, but still do-able. I'm sure they see it as we are busy enough with our own 2, we won't have the time and attention needed to give to others. But who knows?

Here is the updates for the children we have previously inquired on:

Meeting was held to decide his family- we were not chosen.

Got an email today- They prefer a family with no children under age 8. We will not be further considered.

Received tons of information on them and their history on Sat. A lot to think about, and Jonathan still hasn't decided if he'll consider a sibling pair. They have relatives that might adopt and their current foster mom is considering it. So we are probably out on this one as well.

Another family was chosen for Kelsey & Sean.

Waiting to hear...no response to our inquiry yet.

No response yet- hoping to hear soon! Love this little guy!

Inquired because they sounded desperate in the listing, but again Jonathan isn't sure about a sibling pair. They are a little older than I wanted, but we'll see what we hear back.

I have a few new kids listed in June that I want to inquire on, but Jonathan told me to hold off for now. He wants to keep fostering and see what children we have placed with us. (I think he is also secretly hoping to get Giovanni back) But even then, I don't think the possibility to adopt him is there.

Just waiting..................

Everything will work out for you guys, I know. And in the mean time, don't feel frustrated or impatient, because you've got 2 awesome kids of your own, and they are your primary responsibility for now, so enjoy every second with them.
