This is our second day on the road but really our 1st real day of driving. We woke up in Altanta, GA. It was after midnight when we got in, but only because we didn't get out of Wilmington, NC until 3:00 pm in the afternoon!! Just packing the last of the U-haul and cleaning out the apartment. Before we even got in the car to drive I was so tired I could barely think. So driving 8 hours or so and then having all the stops was really rough. We slept in a bit and decided to walk down the street to see a bit of ATL. We saw the CNN building, Coke Headquarters, some of the statues from the Olympics and just played around for a bit. this fountain was swamped with kids there on a school trip, but the fountains would go down for just a second then shoot back up. Amber and I decided to run to the center while it was down and have Jonathan take a pic, then she ran back out and I got stuck in there for a bit. Luckily I didn't really get wet at all. This last pic is just of all the sky walks going from one skyscrapper to the the next. It was pretty cool looking. We drove into Birmingham, Alabama for lunch, then through just the corner of Mississippi, up through Memphis, TN and clear through to Little Rock, AK. We hit a rain storm so bad leaving TN, that Doug and I thought for sure it had to be a Tornado with Hurricane winds and rain. IT was so bad. We were driving like 25 miles an hour and had 0 visibility!! It was pretty scary. We tried to talk Amber and Jonathan into staying the night at the next exit and they kinda aggreed so we were going to stop and it began to let up. So we kept going, just as the rain started up hard again. It eventually turned to a sprinkle but we sat on the freeway for over an hour barely moving and eventually had to exit on and take a side highway detour. 3 semi's had crashed and the freeway was shut down. Joanthan and I had been driving all day and were so beat! Of course Doug in my car and Amber in his, were snoaring away. We had lil' hand radios we talked back and forth to keep each other awake and finally got to Little Rock, Arkansas at 2 AM!

The fountains look so much fun. What a fun way to cool off.
