BEFORE/ AFTER... Well after her 3rd eye check up since birth the eye Dr. finally decided to put Carlaya in glasses. When she was only about 8 months old we noticed a difference with Carlaya's right (?) eye. It didn't wander or go crossed but it did look smaller than her other one. So they have kept an eye on it. Last year they said she was close to needing glasses, but not quite. They said she'd either get worse or grow out of her lazy eye. (they call it a lazy eye, but it is yet to wander- like lazy eyes you hear about) Really it is just the interior muscle is weaker than the other and so she has astymatism (?) The doctor and I are both hoping that by putting Carlaya in glasses so early that she'll grow right out of needing them. So for the next couple of years, she's gonna be our little 4 eye'd cutie pie.!! Just in case you can't see them really well they are pink little glasses with diamond outlined hearts on the corner of each side. Then little red hearts down the ear peices. They are the disney princess collection- and go figure, she picked them out herself. (they were also the most expensive glasses for kids!- but she wanted them) **Before we even knew she needed glasses, when we first got into the dr. office, she ran to the case and asked me if she could have them. So it made it easier when they said she needed them. Only problem is now that she knows she has to wear them, she doesn't want to! It's kinda been a battle to get her to keep them on and it's only been 24 hours!

She looks so cute. She's a girl, it seems we are born with the knowledge of the best. Unfortunaely the best is also the most expensive. Good Luck with getting her to wear them. Now she can wear glasses like her Grandma Christensen, Aunt Sheri and Aunt Hanna.
